Bicycling Cross Country For Autism
By Mike Tapogna
My name is Mike Tapogna. I have a 9 year old son with Autism Spectrum Disorder (high functioning, formerly known as Asperger's Syndrome). He is the most amazing person I know and the love of my life. My wife and I are completely devoted to his success in life. Autism is part of our daily lives and requires a great deal of hard work and dedication. In a desire to promote awareness and support for individuals and families touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder, I will be riding my bicycle from Seattle to New York City in order to raise money for Seattle Children's Hospital Autism Center. This is where my son Luca was first diagnosed with Autism. Your generous donations will go directly to the Seattle Children's Hospital Autism Center. I will begin my ride from Seattle, WA on July 1, 2018 and hope to arrive in New York City the first week of August 2018. My ride will be solo and unsupported. Wish me luck!
